My name is Amy Dalley. I have two beautiful kids. One brand new boy and one beautiful nine year old daughter.

I am also a musician. I love playing music in front of a live audience. I love writing songs. I love being in the studio.

Finding the balance between being a mom and making music makes my world totally crazy. But at the same time I don't think I could do one without the other. It has become just who I am. It is a happy, busy, frustrating, joy-filled life!

I have created this website basically so I can vent...So I can share the funny stories...so I can put the balance into perspective.

I mean how many people have used their breast pump as a purse because your carry-on for the flight to the gig was your guitar?

Every work-tape I have made for songs I have written in the last couple of months has a crying baby finding his own voice in the background.

And what about my sweet embarrassable daughter!?! She is equally humiliated and enamored by the fact that I go play gigs and sometimes her friends say out loud that they like my music.

If I didn’t have a sense of humor I’d be bonkers!

Oh yeah...let’s not forget the husbands! I happen to have a really good one...and believe me I am thankful!!! He (Jack) is also a musician and writer...don’t think that that doesn’t add to the circus we got going on over here!!!

I know there are so many of you moms like me: Moms Making Music. Moms who are pulling it off. Moms who love their kids and KNOW that they wouldn't be as good a mom if they didn't continue to follow their dreams. Moms who know that their dreams don't mean squat if they don't have their kids to come home to, their kids to smile at them when the music doesn’t come the way they want it to.
